I just recently picked up a 2009 Super White Scion tC, bone stock. I want to get some kinda spoiler on this beast but I can't tell the difference between the OEM lip spoiler and the JP Vizage spoiler. I like the thin slick look similar to the wings you see on Audi's or BMW, but JDM. So if someone could PLEASE tell me if there is a difference between the two, i'd greatly appreciate it. Or maybe throw some pictures up if you have either of the two installed, thanks.

Welcome to the club. It looks like there may be some subtle differences. Maybe a lightly higher angle or something. What it boils down to is that it's your car, you have to be the one to judge what you want to do with it. By the way, there is no such thing as JDM for the tC.

thanks for the reply. I agree with you that it may have a slightly higher angle, i read somewhere else that it flattened out towards the center?? the picture somewhat shows that, i guess. I was just hoping someone knew something about the JP Vizage wing. i don't want to throw $200+ towards something that turned out not to be what i was expecting, yknow? but thanks for the input

I have the OEM upgrade lip spoiler and it is a nice clean finish for the rear end for those who don't like the sudden drop off of the stock hatch but don't want the bigger pedestal wing. also if you have the OEM GFX lip kit it is a real nice and clean complement.

yea I'm definitely not a fan of the pedestal wing, not saying that it doesn't look nice, just not my taste. But it looks like I'm probably going to go with the OEM lip spoiler. After days of searching on the internet for this JP Vizage wing, I found this picture and it's got a cut out section along the center of the wing, not sure if I like it all that much

But, RavenWulf I'm assuming that you installed your wing yourself, did everything go smoothly? any problems I should be worried about?

mine was already on the car when I found her used, from what I have found on other sites is the instructions say you need to drill but most folks have had really good luck with automotive 3m double backed adhesive for emblems instead of drilling so if they change their minds later there are no holes in the hatch

Correct. The OEM lip soiler is supposed to be drilled. That's how I came into posession of my pedestal spoiler.
