Does anyone have no grille/open mouth on the front end? Specifically with the OEM bumper/lip kit?

I currently have the OEM fog lights and want to switch to the side side vent fog lights. At which point I am either going to go with an after market grille set or leave both grilles open.

I really like the Figure grilles, but I have also seen a hand full of pictures of some TC's with no grilles at all, and that also looked pretty bad ass... I THINK...

Has anyone gone either way, spcifically with the OEM bumper open or Figure grilles, and do you like the way it looks, have any pictures, suggestions, etc...

if you do a no grill youll have to modify the bumper cuz it has clips for the grill and looks funny without one. Also might want to move the horns to another spot cuz theyre right behind the gril and that looks cheazy

LOL. I may take you up on that in a few months.

I'm going to be getting the Vertex fog lights, but I'll be using the existing wiring and switch for it. But the actual fog grille will be replaced.

Yeah, I removed the top OEM grille a couple weeks ago just to see how it came off and see how it looks, and at first I thought it looked pretty menacing. But then I got tired of how it just looked like somone broke it off and I never replaced it because of the clips and the wiring that's exposed. So, I plan of getting the Figure Grille set soon.

How about reusing your lower grille and insert your horns (Hellas in my case) where the fog lights go? You could also just keep your OEMs and run 4 fog lights. I would highly recommend some sort of grille because your A/C condensor could take a hit costing you between $600-800 to repair.

Oh yeah, for sure. I had already decided that I am not going to leave it open anymore. I really like the Figure Grilles so I plan on getting the upper and lower grilles from these guys pretty soon. I'm not going to leave it with no grille.

I thought about doing the 4 fog lamps, and that would be an easy splice job. I may do that, but I'd like to see a picture of a TC that has 4 before I did that. Does anyone have 4 lamps I could see a pic of?

Do you have the the side vent lamps in addition to the Hella you have on the bottom grille? If you do, can you show me a pic a bit further back so I can see how it looks? I'll have an idea how it would look with the 4 lamps...

I installed projector driving lamps. They are set at an outward for covering the blind spot in the corners.

I like those side vent lamps. What kind are they and how do they mount? Are those the kind that are mounted with the mounting brackets where you have to drill some holes?

I was thinking of getting the Vertex ones to avoid the drilling and mounting brackets, plus I was not sure what brand was good for the style of the ones you have there, but I do like the look on that style more.

I bought them off E-bay. Yes, they are the bracket mounts that require drilling. Nothing too bad and ya can't even see that. I used stainless steel bolts/nuts instead of using the screws that came with it. The Vertex ones are probably your best bet as they do not require removing the bumper cover to mount them.

Ah, I didn't even think of that. Thanks for the heads up.

Have you seen anyone with the Vertex ones? I've asked around and tryied to look for some pics of TC's with the Vertex ones and haven't been able to come up with too many images that show a great pic of how they look on the car.

I do know that the better thing about the Vertex ones as compared to some of the other similar style side vent fog lamps is that they are recessed into the vent a bit and are not flush with the front of the bumper, which in my opinion is just not as "cool" looking. I have not seen a great pic of them, but the recessed look I would think is a bit sprortier looking than having them flush.

They look great in person. I just want projectors for a possible later HID setup and more define light pattern.

I think the type you have look awesome. I would prefer to have that style, but the Vertex seems easier to install. For someone like me anyways.

:loool: Sorry man, don't mean to laugh at you. Those are not fog light covers. They are Hella supertone horns. Navy can probably help you out with where to get them.

I needed room to put in my oil and power steering coolers. I also wanted a different sound and a train horn was a bit much (save that for my Tundra). The Hella's give it that Euro tone and since the tC has European design influences, I said, "What the hey".
