Will I be able to fit an 18x8 inch wheel with a +35mm offset on my tC if I have the Hotchkis drop? If so, what tire size will be best? Thanks for the responses!

you should be able to but you need to move your abs speed sensor out of the way. i dropped mine the the same springs and just put a wider tire on and it ended up rubbing through the electrical line. not a cheep fix.

18x8 - i think the best offset would be between 42 and 48. Navylife had problems running a 35mm offset (but then again i think his wheels were wider than 8 inches).

Stock we have 17x7 with a 45mm offset. going to a 42mm offset would move the rim/tire 3mm towards suspension components, where 48mm moves it 3mm away (towards the fender).

if you want a flush sitting wheel, 42mm is the way to go without rubbing. 35mm would be optimal for a 7 inch width to sit flush.

someone correct me if i'm wrong. i hate the subject of offset b/c im not good with my conversions.

You must be looking at Axis Wheels. There are people out there running 18x8 +35mm with a 225/40/18 tires. It sits rather flush. From the pics that I have seen, some of the cars where lowered about a that of a Hotchkis drop. I could not tell if they had corrected their negative camber. You may have to run some negative camber. I was sold an 18x8.5 +35mm 225/40/18. On my Hotchkis drop, the slightest tiny bump would cause rub on the tire sidewall by the fender lip.

Nah, I gave up on the Axis wheels when you were having so many problems with them Navy. I am actually looking at the TSW Jarama in Black...I think that would look sweet on a Superwhite! So you think I will be able to run a few degrees of negative camber and avoid rubbing? Any other suggestions with regards to the Hotchkis kit and an 18x8 with a +35 offset?
