My g/f and I were invited by some friends of ours that are members of (Scikotics) to cruise down to Rockland County/Blauvelt NY on 7/10/2011 for a car show. The drive down and back was an easy 3hours each way and where the car show was held was at the Rockland Toyota/Scion Dealership.

I have never been anywhere's close to NYC, so it was quite the experience and the traffic was very congested especially leaving to come home. I drove to the show and home and after spending a total of 6 hrs driving, we both were exhausted. My MPG was really good, I filled up Saturday evening and made it to the show with a little above a half a tank, then when we left, I stopped at a Mobil and paid $4.29/gallon for premium and paid $35.00 and some change to fill my tank back up. The trip back home I got better MPG and arrived home w/ exactly between 3/4 and 1/2 tank of gas. I also came very close to having an accident, some moron on a three lane highway had their 4-ways on ahead of me. As I am approaching them, they are taking up almost 3/4 of the lane and mind you I have traffic to my left, so thinking they are pulling off the road so I could pass them, they remained in the lane, I was forced to swerve abruptly to my left and pray to god that no one would come up along my drivers-side and clip me. I cleared the idiot who should've pulled off the highway to the shoulder and was very fortunate to have no one on my drivers-side in the middle lane.

On a positive note, the car show was amazing, the turn out was huge, lots and lots sick rides as well as other imports and domestics that showed as well. We had many pictures taken of my Scion tC, made quite a few friends and lots of compliments. Just before the judging presentation was to begin, they held a loudest/best sounding exhaust competition, I went down to watch the competition and while I was gone, 5 judges came over and gave my tC another looking over from front to back. Come to find out I tied another 1st generation tC in points, so the tie had to be broken for 1st and 2nd place. Here the tC that I tied: [IMG] (tcbabyy) from ClubSciontC.com

The Scion tC Generation 1 Class was first to be announced, and I was awarded 2nd place:
