After lowering your car is it necessary to install aftermarket shocks immediately or can I still drive with the car lowered for a few months before I can afford to buy and install aftermarket shocks?

Sorry for the delay. Unless you have extensively lowered the car beyond 2", your OK to run with the stock struts. Not sure of the magic number, but at some point it is possible to lower the car enough where you could effectively negate the piston travel of the strut causing it to bottom out internally. I have the Hotchkis Stage I TVS system with about 32K of my current 46K miles riding lowered about 1.8 inches with the stock struts and no problems.
