Shocks needed with lowering springs?

Im planning on buying the eibach sportline kit which would drop 2' all around. But my questions is would I need to put on after market shocks as well or would I be ok with just the springs?

the questions factor in --- but generally, if you're up to 40K miles and beyond, you should probably consider shocks. aftermarket springs will wear out the stock shocks faster that stock springs would. so the more mileage you have, the sooner you're gonna need to replace the shocks. (which is why i havent put my springs on yet)

if your car is young, you can get away with it. but your gonna have to remove the whole thing to replace the springs, and you're gonna need an alingment both times, so you might wanna consider doing it all done at once

o and consider a camber kit for the rear tires as well since you are going with a 2" drop . there's debate on whether it's necessary tho...

Id say my driving style is very aggressive

And as of right I have ijen intake and exchaust but when it comes to my suspension yes I would auto cross.

If im going to get shocks what is a good decent priced pair i can get?

koni and tokico - more agressive (not sure which is more agressive between the two of them)

if you're gonna auto-x and you drive aggressive, you'll wear out the oem shocks quickly with aftermarket springs. so you'll end up replacing them anyway. i'd suggest getting the shocks at the same time you get the springs.

The front konis are just the strut cartridge, not the entire strut, so you'll have to modify your existing strut to house it (I had to do this on my old civic. It was a total pain in the arse). Unless you have the tools/know-how to do it yourself, or have enough bread to pay an installer I'd go with the tockicos.

As for a camber kit, a few ppl I've talked to have the eibach sportline springs and they say they didn't need the camber kit. Save the money and buy a new rear sway bar.

that explains the price of the koni shocks. dont wanna make a mistake like that having to pay more than necessary.

no, you do not need to upgrade the struts when you install lowering springs. it is highly recommended, but not needed.

when you are ready to upgrade the struts, i'd recommend tokicos for a stiff track/DD feel. if you are looking for a more stock like ride, i'd suggest kyb gr-2 struts.
