Hey guys... no i havn't been on in a while ( summer vacation and all :D )

But anyway... its been about 3-4 monts since i had my scion taken to a repair shop. and i noticed there were small tiny bumps were they repainted the area. Just wondering could it be the paint chipping??? Its been about 90-100 degrees here in New Mexico.......gotta love it!!!

It could be debris under the paint from it not being cleaned properly before paint, or just dust that landed on your hood before the paint. I have that problem with my hood since i almost totaled my car, but im getting a new one.

i can see there being dust under the paint.... But its not the hood that has the bumps.........its the rear quarter panel that was repainted and repaired.
Umm also, if it was the dust wouldn't it have appeared earlier?????? They just showed up after like 3 months. I still think its the extreme heat we have in New Mexico.....

By the way the right side of the car is in the sun once we park at home..... so there nothing on the right side.

You probably just havent noticed it since it been repainted. I didnt notice mine until like a week later. Idk. MAybe it could have something to do with the heat.

im positive it wasn't there before. Me and my dad checked the paint for a week after the repairs and there weren't any bumps, after the week we stopped checking for faults.

it is possible that there are air bubbles in the paint.....I am going thru that right now with a little project of mine. I had to redo everything. No bumps this time

Try and see if using a clay bar may help to take some of them out. It may be pollen, road debris, or various other contaminates. I recommend mequires or mother clay clay bar kit. I didnt think about it until this weekend. I usually get them on my bumper and have to keep the car waxed really well. About every 2 months I need to do a little clay bar here and there nothing major. Check it out and let us know!

improper cleaning could over time cause the paint to lift or "bubble" can you take a pic and post? i could get a better idea what it is, wether a dirt nib or lift!!
