i just signed and put my $500 down on the rs 5.0
and noticed that the trd springs doesn't come with the shocks.. I asked the dealer if this would be ok for the car he said the stock shocks are good enough for the vehicle. general rule of thumb from what i heard was " if the springs are changed to lower springs and the shocks aren't changed with them, then you lower the life of all the all other parts"

    what are your thoughts ?

ohh and i went ahead and asked the dealer to add them anyways:party:

TRD barely drops the car. You need to worry about changing shocks if you drop the car more than 2 inches. I wish I had your kind of money cos TRD is overpriced :)

I feel lucky as crap. I put down that stupid $500 to get off the lot. For my first car payment, I gave them $12,000 that I had saved up. I've been making payments here and there but not I'm refinancing my car. It'll be a 36 month loan with a payment of $180. I have a credit score of 764 :) ... But yeah, I got my car in April of 08 with literally nothing extra.

kinda weird but after reading the forums I'm starting to second guess myself on this purchase of the rs 5.0 thinking maybe shoulda went stock and built up from there.. but I'm not backing out though. its nice knowing only 2000 was only made of this nice machine for the U.S.

The RS5.0 is really a good purchase if you like the items that it is loaded with. You could always replace the parts you don't like as the TRD parts would sell better than ordinary stock parts. Besides, it's a sweet arse ride out of tha box! I would have definitely done this with the RS1.0

I like the RS but I do wish they had better performance, not just a custom color. That's just me though. I don't care for their interior to be honest.

LOL good luck. Pure pricing prevents negotiations =[
