Alright it is official, my 2006 Scion tC is now lowered on Eibach Prokit Lowering Springs and Tokico Struts. These pictures were taken right after the install.

The install took a few hours, and my buddy and I didn't run into any serious issues. The front struts went very smoothly, about 15-20 mins per side and the rear struts took us a bit longer to get the struts and springs out. A few bolts had to be PB Blasted but came right out afterwards w/o a problem. During the rear strut and spring removal/install, my whole entire sound system had to be completely removed from the rear hatch in order to gain access to the strut towers and then re-installed.

The ride home from my buddies house was very smooth, ride quality was much stiffer compared to OEM, the handling felt amazing and performed 10x better. The bumps in road you could barely even feel. Come Thursday or Friday I will be getting a 4 Wheel Alignment.

After the installing the springs and struts we swapped out the OEM Visors w/ T-View 10'' LCD Monitors.

Haha I look forward to seeing your progress. Keep up the good work man. /

Btw you guys did the front struts yourself? Good job. Most shops charge a lot for spring/strut install since you have to re-use the OEM top hat for the new struts. Compressing the OE spring to remove the OEM top mount is definitely tedious aint it?

Thanks Tony! Yes it is a very tedious process for sure. My buddy and I did the work in his driveway. He has more tools than what I have, plus he has an air compressor and an impact gun. Since I bought the modifications from him, there was no charge for the install, if I had gone to his place of employment, I would've been charged $70.00 an hr. The only issue was trying to find where all the bolts were to take out the rear struts, what a pain in the arse that was. We also had to rip out my whole entire sound system out of the rear hatch to get access to the top bolt, then put everything back in piece by piece. Replacing the rear struts in the Scion tC's would be whole lot easier if TRD/Toyota had done things different. Once the job was done, the results spoke for themselves, huge difference compared to how my tC sat originally.

I am currently saving up to have my headliner wrapped in black suede and the A, B and C-Pillars, as well as three 7'' PowerAcoustik tv monitors flushed into the rear hatch w/ 4" co-axial's, Gauge Cluster/HVAC LED Swap done by YOU and more CF for the interior.

The ride quality is amazing compared to how it rode stock. A lot stiffer and smoother and the handling is more responsive.

Haha yeah we know your pain. Oh you definitely got a good deal! Over here labor rate is about $85 I believe so suspension installs cost even more. Yeah definitely frustrating getting access to the rear coilovers. Definitely some foul language the first time around lol. Most FF vehicles require the front liners to be removed so don't feel too bad. We did a Civic suspension install recently and it required the liners to be removed as well. I am very happy to hear you are enjoying your suspension though!

Sounds good Cadence! Keep up the good work man, your car is coming a long very well. Sure shoot us an email whenever you are ready. I'll try to get you the best possible price.

Looks awesome man. If all else, you have a future in hand modeling. Throw a few more poses and you might just have a career as a politician. :)

So how does it stop now? Do you have your rotors rotating backwards? The swirl is supposed to go the other way. Should not make much a difference unless you plan on tracking it.

The cars stops a 100% better than stock, and its funny you mention that about my rotors, someone else said something to me about the rotors facing the wrong way. I asked a few other people and they said that the rotors can go on either way, but in most cases they are suppose to face going w/ the car. I have no issues stopping what so ever. I will give my buddy a call that helped me install them and see what he says about it.

ahh this is the post you referred to. Yeah I actually didn't notice until you mentioned it. The vanes are usually recommended to go the other way as it is said to dissipate heat better. I sent you an article via PM.

We will be addressing this issue very soon. I actually need to get w/ my buddy this week because we are installing 3 7'' tv screens in my rear hatch w/ 4'' co-axial's. After that install we will swap the rotors to the correct side. Thank you Tony! :)

That looks amazing. I was thinking about lowering it, but I would prefer not to because it would mess with alignment and make it easier to bottom out...but I keep thinking about better handling and that is what I need!

    *****in' TV system though. /jealousy
