vented hood ok for winter??

    I'm about to get the seibon vsii hood, its on its way gotta get it painted and installed still but I was wondering if its ok to have a vented hood in the winter? I live in chicago and winter don't play here, some ppl tell me to cover the vents if I'm worried? Any info will be awesome, thanks everyone.

    I live in Eugene, OR. where it is constantly raining. My family live in Klamath Falls, OR where it is constantly snowing. My car has never had any issues.

    The hood I got has a metal grate in the vent hole. (Check my pictures). The grate actually holds the snow there. Just scoop it out when you get outside to start your car.

    You should be good. No worries.

    For your reading pleasure. Just to add to this, I have to keep a plastic grocery bag handy for torrential downpours and the twice a week car wash (maybe that is where my clearcoat went?). I have yet to weld up the weather box for my RAM air setup.
