Hi im robert and new to the forums. the inside of my scion is very modified but nothing at all to the outside. i can either put on and paint the 4 piece kaminari body kit OR have 18" trd black rims and tires put on and the exhaust. i will be getting both of them by june-julyish but not sure which one to do first they both cost a little over
2k any advice.. i ahve a 2007 scion tc 3.0 RS in my opinion the prettiest and classiest of the release series . not the most dynamic looking or performance oriented just think the white pearl paint and the white/black suede was a nice touch.

i would say rims and exhaust, will you get lowering springs too? if so i would get them before or at the same time as the rims, that would be pretty shweet...i feel for your bank account though lol, those are some expensive mods, but they will be worth every penny

thanks man but no lowering springs, i live in a rural area and my celica was lowered and it was a nightmare. plus with the 18's any hard cornering would spell doom with the wider tires. si im gonna play it safe. besides the scion doesnt have enough power for me to bother with performance mods. ive grown out of speed and now am about looks and sound. thanks for the advice man. it might take a couple of months but wife only lets me keep 250.00 a week lol

oh man im sorry to hear about that wife thing lol...i put the trd springs on my car with 18s and its fine but they only dropped me maybe an inch and a half or so, and that was in the rear, front drop was about and inch and a quarter...i dont have a body kit though, and if the one i think i know what kit youre talking about, that thing is B.A. one of the best looking ones, what exhaust are you looking at?

lol its a good thing man ....we have lots of nice things because i dont control the money..soo a 250.00 a week allowance is a small price to pay for financial security. With the roads around here and the kit no springs for me. i had the trd springs on my celica and without a body kit it scraped. anyway i will be getting the TRD exhaust. besides she bought me the car and most of the stereo system..

oh very nice dude, and good choice on exhaust, those are pretty nice, i was thinking about getting a trd for my car, but i was able to get a ridulously good deal on a magnaflow, and i understand about the road thing though, its like that in my town, i wanted to do a body kit real bad, but i just put on those springs instead, cause effing up that nice kit was inevitable, either way, youre going to have a sweet ride!

Congrats on the RS 3.0. I have the same car. Highly suggest that you keep the Kenstyle ground effects as they are what sets that car apart from the rest, including the paint. Both aero kits are going to have negligible positive effects on the aerodynamics of the car with the Kaminari having a slight edge. You can always add a good rear spoiler (adjustable) if you ever plan on taking the car to a high-speed road course. My answer to your poll is go for the tire/wheel combo. You will get more bling and bang for your buck with those. Once you have the new shoes, you need to lower your car between 1.5"-2.0" for better handling and looks. It will also bring that aero kit closer to the ground where it will have more effect.

Navy I agree with you 100%, however....a piece of crap local body shop paited a little damage and since they weren't smart enough to realize that the kenstyle lip had a non painted gasket seperating it from the bumper the painted it fusing the kenstyle lip kit to the bumper ..which of course started peeling....there are no replacement gaskets so I can't even have it stripped without buying a new lip I'm not paying 1100.00 for one of the lips. Since the bumper and the lip are flaking with multiple layers of non one stage paint its going to continue to peel and look bad....so since I. I'm not selling the car and I don't really like the rear bumper so that's why I'm doing it. Also I wanted side skirts and its cheaper just to buy the whole kit. Besides I'm going to strip the paint off chemically and sell the entire kit bumpers and lips.

I meant to say I can't have it fixed without having it stripped and painted again and for similiar money I can buy the kaminari. Kit and get a rear bumper I like and side skirts to boot. Not really worried about resale or rarity.

I agree w/ Navy as well and do wheels/tires, then your suspension. Since you have the Kenstyle kit, I would keep it the way it is. Have a look at the spoiler I have. It sits low and doesn't interfere w/ your rear view vision.

    Welcome to the forums! :)
