I'm not stranger to the car world, I've had a few projects over the years that might qualify me to be more than just the average Joe in all this. I should be picking up a new '10 sky blue Tc here in a few days once the bank sends the check to me for it.

Anyway, nice to meet whoever is looking.

I'm sure I will be on from time to time with questions. I tried posting a picture up on this thread but it never worked, I've got some pretty bad hail damage that you can't see in the picture but it's ok.

Suspension is the one thing that I want to do with the car. I like how smooth it rides right now and I don't really want to lose that feel but lowering it would be great. I realize that's a give and take exchange there though.

If your looking to lower your tC I would recommend the following springs: TRD, Eibach, Tein, Progress, Tanabe, KSport. Do you know how low your looking to go?

It'd be nice to see the tires hugging the fenders on the car, the springs I'm not so much worried about. What advice might you have on the best road feeling struts there are? After maybe five years in a lowered Accord with a full race suspension I'm liking my smooth ride.

IMO the best struts on the market to buy are Tokico's. I currently have them on my 2006 Scion tC w/ Eibach Prokit Lowering Springs and the ride is amazing. Handling is so much better than stock, and bumps are a lot less noticeable. I am very pleased w/ how my suspension turned out, plus the lower stance really sets the car off.

I'll have to keep that in mind, thanks for sharing! Now I just wish this car had a taller 5th gear, nothing says better gas mileage than 3k+ RPM at low highway speeds.

Your welcome, I get fairly decent gas mileage with mine and cruising speeds is around 2-2.5K.

My gear box is (Auto). I average 23-25 mpg's in town and 29-31 mpg's on the highway on 89 octane. I am also currently using Castrol Edge 5w 20 oil w/ Lucas Oil Full Synthetic Stabilizer.

Is the block and head made from aluminum or steel, or a combination of both? I wouldn't think you'd have to run 89 octane in your car since the compression ratio is between, what, 9.6-8:1. That's relatively low, you could possibly get more power out of a lower octane fuel. Of course I haven't read the owner's manual to check on what is recommended for the car.

I am pretty sure the heads and block are aluminum. The earlier tC's were 9:6.1 compression after that they went up slightly to 9:8.1 compression. The owners manual does state Regular Octane (87) but I have found that my MPG increased slightly with the higher octane and the engine/RPM's were smoother, acceleration wasn't sluggish either. The only downfall is most of the fuel we're using contains at least 10% Ethanol, which is decreasing our MPG and HP by 15%, but burns cleaner w/ less emissions being emitted into the atmosphere.
The main thing to remember when buying fuel is buying from Top-Tier gas stations and avoiding your no-name/Mom and Pop Stores. I have found w/ my tC that Mobil runs the best, with Sunoco second and Kwik Fill in a very close third. I tried Hess w/ every vehicle I have owned and it ran like crap and got horrible MPG. I recently tried Citgo and so far its running great. For some reason certain additives in the fuel respond differently to each vehicle.
